If you're looking to add some fun to your BBM, you might want to try the latest service being pulled into the BBM ecosystem. The app is called BBMoji and it allows you to create funny cartoons and stickers and share them over BBM or export them to your gallery, similar to BitMoji but for BBM. The app has now landed in the Google Play Store but it's technically not an official release as of yet, so consider it a public beta of sorts for now. Here's how to get started!

BBMoji allows you to create funny cartoons and animated emoticons from a wide repertoire of expressions that match your moods and share them as stickers to chat with your friends on BBM.

Create your BBMoji account and avatar

Download the latest version of both BBM and BBMoji
Open BBM and go to any chat
Tab on the sticker icon
Select the BBMoji tab and click on Create Your Avatar
You'll be prompted to Authorize BBMoji
Click Allow on Authorization page to link BBMoji to your BBM account, and you'll be redirected to the BBMoji app to create your personalized stickers
Take a selfie or upload a photo
Choose your gender and age
Customize your avatar based on preferences such as eyes and facial shapes and hairstyles. You can also accessorize your avatar with glasses and more!
Click Save when you're satisfied with your avatar, and you'll be taken to BBMoji homepage with your created avatar
You'll soon be able to tap on Start using in BBM to share BBMoji stickers on BBM with your contacts

And voila! Your BBMoji stickers are automatically be generated in BBM. So keep checking in and be one of the first users to get a head start in creating your personalized avatars with BBMoji!

I played around with the app for a bit last night and it's certainly fun and kind of creepy. I was rather surprised with the output of the emoji it created as they are pretty spot on, more so than BitMoji really, as BBMoji uses your own images to create a basic avatar for you which you can then customize.

Given that it's pretty much a standalone app that integrates with BBM, in addition to being able to send the files over BBM you can also export them to your gallery for sharing wherever you wish. The stickers you create of yourself are exported as GIF files and carry a little bit of advertising by way of the BBM logo in the corner.

As it stands, BBMoji offers up a ton of free animated stickers to share, there are actually six different 'emotions' to choose from ranging from funny, happy, sad, love and more and some are pretty hilarious, while some are just plain weird. Additional packages can be purchased for $.99 but you'll likely have to REALLY want that package to buy it as there are so many free options already built in.

Although the app is live now, as I mentioned, it's still a little bit beta and in some cases, functions won't work unless you're also on the BBM beta, but hey, give it a go and see what you think. I had fun with it last night. Is it something I'll keep using? I dunno, but at least the option is there.
