During BlackBerry's recent earnings call it was noted BlackBerry Executive Chairman & CEO John Chen would be delivering the keynote address at the North American International Auto Show on January 15, 2018. At the time, we weren't sure where it would live-streamed but a new post on the BlackBerry blog has let it be known those not in attendance can tune in on the day of the event.
The keynote will cover BlackBerry's transformation into a world leader in cybersecurity solutions and services with special attention paid to BlackBerry's emergence as one of the most trusted partners in the automotive industry. During the address, BlackBerry will also unveil and demonstrate a new product that will help to shape and secure the future of connected and self-driving cars.
Between CES and the North American International Auto Show we're expecting to hear a lot of QNX news, even more than what has already hit such as BlackBerry QNX's partnership with Baidu. Even today, John Wall, Senior Vice President & GM at BlackBerry QNX spoke with BNN about more deals and engineering jobs for driverless car technology.
