U Mobile now part of the BlackBerry buzz in Malaysia

In order to bring the mobile population of Malaysia more options to connect with friends and family, the newest 3G service provider of the country, U Mobile Sdn Bhd, has launched the BlackBerry solution for its customers in collaboration with RIM. U Mobile customers will initially have the opportunity to get their hands on either the BlackBerry Bold 9780 or the BlackBerry Curve 3G, but CEO of U Mobile Sdn Bhd, Dr. Kaizad Heerjee hints that more is coming - "We look forward to continuously unveiling new and exciting products which are focused at delivering simple, flexible and affordable plans to the market."

With its current offerings, affordable monthly rates and the availability of Pay As You Use (PAYU) plans, U Mobile has strong potential to fill the void for the growing demand of BlackBerry smartphones and products in Malaysia. Dr. Kaizad Heerjee also stated that "[U Mobile] is very pleased to have a long-term partnership with RIM to introduce the BlackBerry solution to our customers in Malaysia. BlackBerry smartphones will allow our customers to easily stay in touch with the people and information that's important to them and access information quickly and efficiently no matter where they are through our enhanced 3G high speed network."
