Twittly may not be the smoothest and most functional third party Twitter application for BlackBerry 10, but with extensive beta testing going on that may well change in the near future. The app has been updated this week over in the BlackBerry Beta Zone, so if you like to test and report back, feel free to swing on by and grab this latest edition.

If you're expecting a bug free experience you may be disappointed. You must remember that this is a working beta and the developer (Nemory Studios) is well aware that this release has some issues, such as unstable headless, constant notification sparks, home timeline loads twice, buggy cache, missing merged timeline feature and some buttons and chat bubbles aren't following color scheme.

If you can live with that until it's ironed out then give it a whirl and don't forget to give the dev some feedback.

New in this update:

  • Improved performance

  • Improved and slightly revamped UI

  • Simpler UI (uncluttered)

  • Secured flurry analytics

  • No more Smaato ads

  • No more security issues

  • Improved auto hide bars

  • Reduced HTML bugs

  • Improved search

  • Improved action drawer

  • Improved login page

  • A lot of Insta10 similarity
