When the last Twitter for BlackBerry 10 update rolled out, BlackBerry CEO John Chen noted there was another release being worked on and lo and behold, it has now arrived sporting some much-needed changes and feature additions.
This time around, there's several new features and enhancements as well as the removal of some very obsolete functions. Luckily, BlackBerry has stated the full change log so let's take a look.
- Support for direct messages with up to 10,000 characters
- Removed obsolete Discover and Activity timelines
- Heart icon replaces star and Like/Liked replaces Favorited/Favorite
- Various bugfixes.
The update is live in BlackBerry World right now, so go ahead and get it downloaded. Be sure to let us know how well it's working in the comments once you test it out for a bit. PS: It looks like Trending Topics was also removed. On Twitter for Android and iOS, tapping the search button brings them up but on Twitter for BlackBerry 10, it only shows you previous searches.
