One of the apps I first sought after on my PlayBook was Twitter. RIM lazily put in a web shortcut to Twitter.com, but for me that doesn't cut it. Searching through BlackBerry App World doesn't give you many options either. Of the "Twitter apps" available, only two came close to what I was looking for. The first was TweeKL which isn't all that great, and the other is tweedless. More of a specialty Twitter app, tweedless is based more on filtering your timeline how you want it. It lets you choose who shows in your timelime and who doesn't (or you can just show the whole feed). It does have mentions and direct messages as well, but could still use quite a bit of work. That being said, if you're looking for a 3rd party Twitter app to hold you over until something better comes along, tweedless is a decent option for now. It's available free in BlackBerry App World.
