Dan Dodge shows off the QNX Bentley concept car at CES

Body:

QNX unveiled their latest concept car at CES this week and it was a big hit on the show floor. A Bentley GT is always an eye-catcher, but outfit it will crazy QNX goodies and it's even more over the top. The QNX Porsche was awesome, but this Bentley is ten a hundred times as awesome. Kevin took the driver's seat as Dan Dodge himself took him through all of the QNX features in the car ranging from the oversized touchscreen console right down to the digital dash cluster (which has the same core as the BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha).

Highlights from the Mobile Nations 2013 CES Experience

It's hard to believe it has come and gone already, but the 2013 CES Experience is over. Right from the start, we had some great events and evenings planned for the crew… keep reading for some of the highlights...

CrackBerry Kevin BlackBerry news update live from CES 2013

Body:

CES is always crazy and the 2013 show has been no exception. We have a pretty big Mobile Nations crew out here this year, so between morning meetings, running around during the day and evening events, I've barely had a chance to slow down for a moment and write.

Though BlackBerry does not have a show floor presence at CES this year, there definitely are quite a few BlackBerry people in town. Yesterday morning I sat down with Marty Mallick and Alec Saunders to talk about the app story leading into BlackBerry 10. I also chatted with Richard Piasantin, the Managing Director for BlackBerry in the USA. And in the evening I received an unexpected surprise when BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins dropped by our Mobile Nations meetup party to say hello!

Preview of WordPress for BlackBerry 10

Body:

BlackBerry's biggest presence on the show floor at CES 2013 was an army of 8800s being used by exhibitors to scan badge barcodes, but the fight for developers was palpable at smaller shows in Vegas happening around the same time. One of those clustered conventions was the New Media Expo, where BlackBerry was running folks through the App Generator and showing off the WordPress app for BlackBerry 10 for the first time.

Case-Mate shows off their BlackBerry Z10 case lineup at CES

Body:

Kevin is representing CrackBerry on his own at CES 2013 this year, and between meetings and running around he hasn't had much time to hit the blogs. Luckily he did have time to grab a few photos of these awesome BlackBerry Z10 cases from Case-Mate. We haven't seen much on the accessory side for BlackBerry 10 just yet, but from the looks of these cases there won't be any shortage of goodies at launch. Remember, RIM has the Built for BlackBerry program in place which gives authorized third party accessory manufacturers early access to dummy units so they can get their products ready for launch.

Here we get a good look at what Case-Mate will offer up for the new BlackBerry devices later this month. On display we can see there are some cases from both the Crafted and Refined collections by Case-Mate. Comparing to their iPhone counterparts, the Crafted series sell for around $80 while the Refined are about $50.

These are some pretty great looking cases and I have to say I can't see what else we see in the way of accesories for BlackBerry 10. There is plenty of amazing stuff on the horizon. Check out more images below!

Mobile Nations 2013 CES Experience Day 3: CES + BlackBerry CEO = 1 Amazing Day!

The Mobile Nations 2013 CES Experience

After a night of good times, good friends and a few (maybe more) good drinks, today was the BIG day… CES baby! Our crew was raring to get down to the Las Vegas Convention Center, and even though a few had later starts than others… all made it down to the LVCC to check out the goodness (and craziness) that is CES.

RIM CMO Frank Boulben confirms there will be at least six BlackBerry 10 devices in 2013

While we've been concentrating on both the full-touch BlackBerry Z10 (L-Series) and the full QWERTY device (N-Series) we forget that it's been said all along that there will be more BlackBerry 10 devices available after the initial launch. RIM CMO Frank Boulben confirmed in an interview with FierceWireless that RIM does intend to release as least six BlackBerry 10 devices over the course of 2013, all falling into various pricing tiers.

BlackBerry 10 gets one more demo at CES [video]

Body:

As we inch closer and closer to the BlackBerry 10 launch event this month, we're all getting anxious to just have the devices already. While RIM isn't full force with a booth at CES this year, there are plenty of heads on the ground spreading the word of BlackBerry 10. There are still plenty of features of the OS that we haven't yet seen and RIM is doing a good job of keeping some secrets under wraps until launch day. Jeff Gadway, Senior Manager of BlackBerry Product Marketing, took some time yesterday to show off the OS on video once again.
