Initially only available in Australia, Spotify has now made their experimental Stations app available to Android and iOS users in the US. Offering a more lightweight experience over the full Spotify app, Stations allows you to tell Spotify what music you like and it will then build out station playlists based on your preferences.

Easily create stations for all the music you love, all for free. With the world's music at your fingertips, finding the right thing to play can feel like a challenge. Stations gets you to music instantly — no searching or typing needed. As Stations learns more about what you like, it creates stations packed with the music you love, made just for you.

Stations is available as a free download. If you already subscribe to Spotify, you'll get an ad-free experience and unlimited song skips. If you're a free Spotify account holder, you'll have to deal with a few audio ads every now and skips are limited to six per hour. Personally speaking, I kind of prefer this experience to the full-blown Spotify app. Let me know if you give it a go!
