* Update from Kevin: We got a note from Polar Mobile, who developed the app, that clarifies what's going on for some people. The app is available globally but they were asked to list two versions in App World so that the app can be featured separately in different geographic areas. This is causing confusion that they will approach BlackBerry about to get straightened out.
Long story short, there is a shortcut to just getting the application. Click to http://app.si.com to download the Sports Illustrated app directly. *
Sports Illustrated which is read by over 23 million people has finally made it's way to BlackBerry. This time not just in the form of a mobile site, but a full-on BlackBerry application designed by Polar Mobile. All the news, scores and stats you can handle right in your hand with plenty of user customizable options available so you get the information you want - no more, no less. Need to send an article to Twitter? Share the link with friends or bookmark it for later? Send it to delicious? You can do it all. You can tweak every aspect of the app so you only see the sports, news and scores you want, when you want. A very cool offering from SI that will definitely give other sports apps a run for their money. Check it out via BlackBerry App World.
