SketchBook now available in BlackBerry World

Let me start by greeting you all a Happy New Year! Hope you all had a great one and brought in the new year in your own special way.

Before the new year, we brought you a sneak peek into an upcoming app called SketchBook, for BlackBerry 10 smartphones. A lovely sketchbook app that runs pretty smoothly and great for those who love to sketch. I've already used to doodle a few things. I've used it with my finger and also a plain old stylus. Note that if you rest your palm on the screen, it will leave a mark.

You have the ability to create many sketchbooks, with as many pages. When you first download the app, there are a handful of sketchbooks there by default. There's a How-To sketchbook, an Examples sketchbook, one that showcases the different drawing tools you can use and more. Just slide the sketchbooks all the way to the left to find the option to add your own one. Give it a name then start adding pages to it.

Altogether, there are 6 drawing pens including an eraser. There are 40 different colours to choose from too. In the drawing window, there is also an option to get rid of the top bar as well as the pen/colour selection bar on the bottom to maximise your drawing area. Just tap on the circle icon with an upside down triangle on it to toggle between the two views. Once you're done drawing just hit Done. You can then go on to share these sketches if you wish. Or save it as a hard copy.

I love the smoothness of the app and recommend it if you love to doodle or sketch. It is available for all touchscreen BlackBerry 10 smartphones and the Passport. It is currently available for an introductory price of $1.99.
