If you are looking for an action packed awesome game for your new BlackBerry 10 smartphone Riptide GP is one to get for sure. The game has seen huge success on other platforms and luckily the developers brought it to BlackBerry 10 pretty quickly.
Riptide GP is a Jet Ski racing game and offers hours of fun. With a host of different tracks and jet skis to choose from as well as three difficulty levels you can easily master the art of becoming a racing champion. There are a few options in terms of controlling the jet ski. You can either use on screen controls or utilise the phone and use tilt which is the one I prefer.
Like with most racing games the idea is to beat your opponents. Over on the right side of the screen is a boost bar. Holding this down will give you a blast of extra acceleration to get past the other jet skis. In order to replenish the boost you must perform stunts when you fly over jumps. This is achieved with a selection of two thumb swipes using the bottom of the screen. Be careful not to land on anything but the water though.
Graphics wise the game is pretty sweet. The water looks surprisingly realistic with the way the jet ski bounces in and out. In fact, it looks great! The game will set you back £1.50/$1.99 which is money well worth spending. This one's a real beauty.
Features of the game include:
- Explore 12 futuristic water raceways
- Grab massive air and perform dramatic stunts to earn boost
- Unlock and master 7 screaming fast jet skis
- 3 game modes: Race, Hot Lap, and Championship
- Earn Achievements, post to Leaderboards and save to the cloud with integrated Scoreloop support
