Home security cameras and monitoring systems are becoming far more popular as the prices continue to drop, and Ring's Black Friday prices are so good that you basically have no reason not to be buying one right now. The whole "Do-It-Yourself" alarm system concept has been around for a few years now, and there are a variety of options, but Ring makes one of the most complete packages out there that doesn't break the bank on a normal day. Black Friday has brought along some of the biggest price drops we've ever seen on this gear, and for some of it this marks the first time it's ever been on sale.

Ring gained popularity thanks to its video doorbell cameras, and right now you can pick up the Ring Video Doorbell 2 with a 3rd-gen Echo Dot for just $139.99, a savings of $110 on the bundle. This model offers 1080p video streaming, two-way communication, interchangeable faceplates, and much more. It has a rechargeable battery and doesn't need to be hardwired in place, which makes it a little more flexible than some of the other options. The Ring Video Doorbell Pro is also available with a free Echo Dot at Amazon, but you have to pay full price for the doorbell, which is $249.

If you don't want (or need) to be able to monitor your front door, Ring's Floodlight motion-activated camera is a great way to add video recording and illumination to your yard, porch, and more. It comes in both black and white, so you can pick the one that matches your home the best, and since it's hardwired in place there's no need to worry about charging it or replacing batteries. Unfortunately, neither Ring's Stick Up Cam nor its Spotlight Cam are currently discounted, though they are both well worth the full retail prices.

We've seen an increase in popularity around self-install alarm systems, and earlier this year Ring finally released its own version. It comes in either a 5-piece or 8-piece option, with the main difference being the number of window and motion sensors that are included with the kit. You can install these kits on your own, and Ring offers 24/7 professional monitoring services for as little as $10 a month or $100 per year, which also includes storage for recordings on other Ring cameras or doorbells. We've never seen a discount on Ring's Alarm systems in the past, and this makes its offerings nearly half the cost of what other competitors are charging for similar systems.

At these prices, adding that extra layer of security to your home to keep your family safe is well worth it. The peace of mind and security benefits are well worth the costs associated with these devices, and at these discounted prices you can't go wrong with picking up a few of them to be able to completely monitor your whole home.
