For those of you who prefer minimalistic themes HedoneDesign let us know about their latest release named Jam. Not to be confused with the BlackBerry Jam Sessions, this fresh and bright theme is a simple, yet solidly built, design for your device.
HedoneDesign is known for their precision and quality and Jam displays all that and more with its grayscale tones, unique icon set that is comprised of brilliant white circles for a clean look, fixed icons that only enhance the spotlight effect, and custom meters in the custom top banner. While the icons may be similar to the ones used in Phazer (opposite colors and slight differences) it is still a lovely icon set that goes well with any background you choose.
All of the graphical elements are customized and it leaves the main OS 7 features and interface untouched. While this limits it to being a standard tray theme, it ensures you run smoothly, comes with a small footprint, and makes sure your folders and the icons within them remain intact. For me, as long as the theme works well and looks great I don't mind using trays and have been pleased with HedoneDesign's professional style for OS 7 devices.
As always, price is a leading factor when choosing a theme. HedoneDesign's Jam may be expensive for some at $6.99 but their quality, customer support, and dedication speak for itself. The contrast of the icons and colors make your personal wallpapers stand out and give it a nice polished look.
If you crave the simple and elegant creations of HedoneDesign has been releasing in the last few months then be sure to check Jam out in BlackBerry App World. This theme is compatible with BlackBerry 9350/60/70, 9650, 9700/80/88/90. 9810/50/60, and 9900/30/81 running OS 6 and higher.
