It's that time of year again — spring is upon us, and nothing says fresh and helps welcome the season like a good spring cleaning.

As I've gotten older and accumulated a partner, two fur babies, and one tiny human, the need to fastidiously clean my home has certainly increased. I find cleaning meditative and there's a sense of satisfaction that comes with methodically cleaning my place from top to bottom. To make my floors sparkle, I need a good vacuum with the attachments necessary to get in every nook and cranny. Cue: Proscenic P11 Smart Vacuum Cleaner. This nifty vacuum is wireless (an enormous plus) and has the attachments, battery life, mobility and modes to get my hard floors so clean, I could eat off them.

Proscenic P11 Smart Vacuum Cleaner review: Hardware

Proscenic P11 Smart Vacuum Cleaner comes with all the necessary hardware to really get in every nook and cranny of your home. It comes with five removable attachments including a:

  • Metal extension tube
  • Electric floor brush
  • Round dusting brush
  • Crevice brush
  • Mini motorized tool

It also includes all the necessary parts and screws you need to install the charging stand on your wall. I highly recommend doing this. I like to keep my cleaning tools neat and orderly and getting my vacuum off the floor and on the wall puts my mind at ease.

All the removable attachments are easy to reconfigure. They snap on and off with the press of a big blue button. You also get a cleaning tool — which you'll need regularly to clean up the filter (more on that later), as well as the power adapter, main body of your vacuum, and user manual.

The hardware is lightweight (6 pounds at most) and seamless to maneuver.

The mobility on the electric floor brush is especially impressive and guarantees I can turn tight corners and get into the cracks of my kitchen. The longest, heaviest setup that includes the metal extension tube and the electric floor brush can easily be held and controlled with one hand.

I love, like sincerely love that the electric floor brush has a light on it. This illuminates every speck and piece of dust you vacuum up and ensures that you get everything for that wonderfully, satisfying, squeaky clean feeling. Sometimes I even vacuum in the dark because I can see the debris on the floor better with my room lights off just by using the little light on the floor brush.

I also love that you can nix the metal extension tube and go with a shorter overall setup to take to your car, your bathroom, or any smaller, more compact space in your home. This vacuum is lightweight and versatile making it a lovely spring-cleaning companion.

Proscenic P11 Smart Vacuum Cleaner review: Features

Proscenic Features

The P11 has a LED touchscreen display that shows your battery status, error code (if applicable — I haven't seen this yet), gear or suction mode, and gear or suction selection.

There are three levels of suction power in total. They call them gears in the user manual — FYI. They include ECO mode, AUTO mode, and MAX mode, and you can control these levels from your touchscreen by simply pressing the fan icon. Once you make a suction selection, you'll see that highlighted on your display as you vacuum.

If you choose AUTO mode, you'll see how the suction changes depending on the surface you're vacuuming.

I pretty much always keep my P11 on AUTO mode and let it make the distinction of when I need more sucking power, and when I don't. I will say that I find this vacuum amazing for any kind of hard flooring.

It does an OK job on thinner carpets and rugs, but it's not great for thick carpets. Luckily, I have mostly hard floors and thin carpets in my home, but I do have a couple thick carpets (and pets with long hair) that I need to use my heavy-duty vac on instead to really get them clean.

The Proscenic P11 offers up to one hour of run time in ECO mode, 30-minutes of run time in AUTO mode, and 15-minutes in MAX mode. Pretty good for a wireless, smart vac. I haven't had any issues with mine dying on me while I'm cleaning — I hate that.

Pro tip: Keep your P11 on its charging dock anytime it's not in use.

It's outfitted with a 450 W brushless motor and features 30,000 pa suction. Like I mentioned before, it's great for all hard surfaces. It's not the best for carpet. If you've got a home covered in thick carpet, you'll be disappointed.

Proscenic P11 Smart Vacuum Cleaner review: Proscenic App

Proscenic App
Source: Proscenic

This vacuum is deemed a smart vacuum because it offers app integration with the free Proscenic App. Download the app using the QR code in your Bluetooth Device Tethering Process pamphlet and connect your Proscenic P11.

Once you're synced with the app, you can click on your P11 and view cleaning history, time spent in each cleaning mode, and how close you are to needing your filter replaced ranked from 0% to 100%. The app says to replace the filter every 15 days to ensure normal device performance, but I think that's too much personally.

I've been using my P11 with the filter it came with for a month now and it's functioning just fine. The app says my filter usage is only at 1%. I use it two to three times a week give or take. I could see needing to change the filter more often if it's something you use for prolonged periods every day.

Your original P11 purchase does not come with any replacement filters. Those need to be purchased separately, but you can easily find them on Amazon here.

I find the app interesting (I guess), but sort of redundant. The most valuable information is the filter replacement portion. Otherwise, I don't really need to see how much I cleaned each day and how much time I spent in each mode. I could see this info being valuable for parents of teens and keeping track of household chores, however.

Proscenic P11 Smart Vacuum Cleaner review: Maintenance

Proscenic Maintenance
Source: Proscenic

A vacuum requires maintenance to remain up to snuff to do your dirty work — literally.

The P11 has a nice collection chamber. I estimate it can hold about two cups of debris pulled off your floors before you must empty it. Emptying is easy — all you have to do is unlock a little clasp at the bottom of the chamber and dump.

Cleaning the actual filter is more complicated. I have a long-haired dog who sheds like crazy, so I have to clean out the filter every other time I vacuum or so. Getting the filter out is simple, you press the release buttons on both sides of the dust container simultaneously and boom — it's out.

Then you take it apart, clean each component individually, reassemble, and put it back in. It's moderately time consuming — five to 10 minutes. But you'll want to clean the filter routinely and make sure it's clear of debris so it can provide adequate suction.

Your original purchase does not come with extra filters, but you can wash your filter with cold water and reuse it if you'd like. I have not done this, just sharing what is says in the User Manual. If you do wash your filter, ensure it's completely dry before refitting it back into the collection chamber.

Proscenic P11 Smart Vacuum Cleaner review: Bottom line

Proscenic Long Attachment
Source: Crackberry

Overall, I really like my Proscenic P11 Smart Vacuum Cleaner. I have all hard floors throughout my house, with several large area rugs in each room. The P11 slays at cleaning all my hard surfaces and is without a doubt my go-to for anything that needs vacuuming on those areas. It's lightweight and really easy to pivot and maneuver so you can get into all the cracks and crannies, and even on the walls and ceiling if you want to. With thin carpets and rugs, it does an adequate job. I do not recommend using it on thick carpet or rugs. It just doesn't have the suction power. I love taking it to my car to give my car a nice vacuum and it's got all the attachments and versatility you need to clean your majority of spaces. The wireless factor is huge! Plus, it offers smart app integration so you can keep tabs on your cleaning history and when you need to change your filter.

If you're looking to spring clean, Proscenic P11 will certainly assist.
