Picard

A great piece of BlackBerry 10 news has come out of France today with BlackBerry announcing yet another large organization is making the commitment to BES10 (BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10).

Picard is France's largest frozen food retailer and although we don't yet know how many BlackBerry 10 devices they will be rolling out to their staff I would imagine it must be a considerable quantity.

With the BlackBerry Passport now on sale and the Classic coming soon, now's the perfect time for BlackBerry to strike those Enterprise customers that have been sitting on the fence. Nothing like having a wide range of options in the arsenal.

Press Release

Paris, France – BlackBerry Limited (NASDAQ: BBRY; TSX: BB), a global leader in mobile communications, today announced that France's leading frozen food retailer and the French favorite store, Picard,  is deploying BlackBerry® Enterprise Service 10 (BES10) and BlackBerry® 10 smartphones. Picard's migration to BlackBerry's latest Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) solution, along with its adoption of BlackBerry 10 smartphones, reaffirms its trust in BlackBerry's secure end-to-end mobile solutions. Company employees have been given the choice between BlackBerry® Q10 devices, for those who want to combine the power of the BlackBerry® 10 platform with a large physical keyboard, and BlackBerry® Z10 smartphones, for those who prefer a larger screen.

After trialing a number of different service providers, Picard's IT team selected the BlackBerry® solution to meet its enterprise needs. "As longstanding BlackBerry customers, we have consistently found that BlackBerry offers a good user experience as well as unmatched security on the market, especially when combined with the BlackBerry 10 platform. The fact that security is built-in rather than 'added on' to the BES10 solution, is a real plus that provides us with the best protection," said Ismael Simoes, Head of IT for Picard.

"Customers such as Picard recognize the advantage of having an integrated solution, which combines world-class security, ease-of-use, unparalleled productivity and cost effectiveness. Through the use of BlackBerry EZ Pass, which counts 3.4 million licenses issued, migrating to BlackBerry 10 has never been easier," said Markus Mueller, Regional Managing Director Europe for BlackBerry.

Organizations continue to choose BlackBerry because it is the most proven and trusted enterprise mobility management (EMM) solution, supporting iOS®, Android™ and BlackBerry smartphones
