The BlackBerry Passport and BlackBerry Classic are the next two devices set to arrive from BlackBerry. They're locked in and John Chen and his team are readying the rollout for each right now. The issue there though, for some, is that both of those devices are QWERTY keyboard devices leaving those who like all touch devices such as the Z10 and Z30 with nothing to really upgrade to. Last week we put up a poll asking, Are you still hoping for another all touch BlackBerry device to be announced? The poll got 8,589 votes and with them now being added up, here's how the numbers are looking.
2,263 votes or 26.35 percent are perfectly satisfied with the BlackBerry Passport and the BlackBerry Classic.
6,326 votes or 73.65 percent are still holding out hope another all touch BlackBerry device will be announced soon.
The numbers to me aren't really all that surprising. I posted the poll fully expecting it to be rather lopsided in favor of all touch devices but it's good to actually put some hard numbers behind it all and by it simply existing, it gives BlackBerry a reference point to look at and consider if they haven't already.
Now, that's not to say that many who want an all touch device won't buy a BlackBerry Passport or BlackBerry Classic when they arrive, because many have stated they will. It just so happens that without being able to go hands on with either of those devices yet, an all touch device is their preference.
