If one were to go through the Camera and Photos folders on my BlackBerry you would find over 1,000 images. My BlackBerry remains my primary camera for capturing special moments and events. As such, there are times where I would like to share these photos without having to sit and upload each one separately. In those instances, a collage application allows you to quickly organize and share your story to friends, followers, and family members in a matter of moments.
Mix My Pics is the latest application to hit the storefront that allows you to rearrange your images, both on your device or taken with the camera, in preloaded layouts. Once selected, the pictures are loaded on your screen maintaining their original aspect ratio to fit the frames. Users may pinch and zoom to adjust the image or double tap.
The application itself aims to simply the process of creating and sharing collages. There are nine layouts to choose from and adding images is as simple as tapping two to four images in the file picker. Once all are added, you may adjust the photo within the frame and then choose the preview option. From there you can share directly or set as wallpaper.
Mix My Pics is available for all BlackBerry 10 devices for $1.99. However, the developer has agreed to offer a special promotion whereby he is giving away 100 copies for free! The code and instructions are shown below so you better act fast!
- Launch BlackBerry World
- Swipe down from the top and tap Redeem
- Enter promo code: MIXMYPICSCB
- Tap on the green FREE button to download
As I indicated earlier, Mix My Pics was designed to streamline the process of taking your photo album and sharing the resulting collages. While the number of layouts available is limited and it does not offer the ability to add effects, there are endless possibilities as your collages will be unique each time you create one.
