For CES 2019, BlackBerry QNX decided to have two vehicles on hand to help highlight BlackBerry QNX technology including the newly announced QNX Platform for Digital Cockpits. The 2019 Karma Revero, shows current and future automotive technology from BlackBerry QNX while the Audi Q8 shows what is currently rolling off the production lines with BlackBerry QNX integration.

Karma Revero

The Karma Revero is jam-packed with BlackBerry QNX technology including the QNX Platform for Digital Cockpits, allowing for Android apps to be secure and isolated from the rest of the systems. Additionally, the Karma features six cameras and a single solid-state LiDAR for real-time data to be delivered to the QNX Platform for ADAS 2.0.

On the inside, the Karma features studio quality audio from MQA which has been integrated with BlackBerry QNX Acoustics Management Platform 3.0. To push it even further, BlackBerry is demoing IBM's Watson and Google Assistant to show how they can be deployed safely and securely within connected cars.

Audi Q8

Inside the Audi Q8, all of the displays are making use of BlackBerry QNX technology, which includes the digital instrument cluster, Heads-Up-Display, and the Audi MMI infotainment system. Owners can customize the 12.3-inch display to show important information, how they want to see it, including the full-screen Google Earth Navigation.
