Theme lovers on the prowl for new and exciting designs should no doubt be familiar with the creative style of BerryGlowDesigns. Whether it was releasing SharpIce/SharpPink Free for OS7, porting five premium themes to OS7, or announcing their new Phantom series, they have been hard at work making sure their fans are never without one of their amazing designs. Crispy is their newest concept and is another visually appealling theme for your device.
What makes Crispy stand out from the rest is the graphics. I like how BGD focuses on the tiniest details that others may not notice. If you look closely, the gradients in the top banner display just a hint of color that goes across in a linear pattern from red to yellow with a faint yellow strip at the top. This fine line is a nice touch and shows how less can be more.
When it comes to themes, I always look at the icons. While some may prefer stock, BGD's new "Crispy" OS 7 icon set are intricately designed to blend in perfectly with the style of the theme. Reduced to just their outline, each icon switches from red to yellow with an emphasis on the shadow when highlighted. All of the icons are neatly arranged on the application screen with simple lines separating the rows.
Features:
- Subtle embedded banners on the home screen
- Glass like icon focus
- "Crispy" customized OS7 icon set
- Ease to use, lagless and wallpaper friendly
- Vibrant custom battery/signal/wifi meters
- Very low file size
- Smooth screen transitions added to OS5 devices
If there is one thing I love about this theme it's how all of BGD's subtle color changes and graphics draws you in. From the custom equalizer signal meter to the glass like icon focuses, it is a sharp, solid, and balanced design for your compatible BlackBerry device.
Crispy is wallpaper friendly as well and BGD has just launched their themed wallpaper section on their site. All of their previous wallpapers are there for you to download (including the fantastic CrackBerry one!). This includes those created for their Phantom series which are also compatible with this one. Each wallpaper is designed for devices running BlackBerry OS 5 - OS 7.1 and the BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0. For more amazing choices, be sure to check out the CrackBerry Wallpaper gallery.
