While most of us still aren't lucky enough to have a BlackBerry Bold 9900 to call our own, there are some out there already living it up with the latest device. Here is another of only a few leaks that we've seen for the BlackBerry Bold 9900, this one in the forum of OS 7.0.0.176. Granted not many will have a chance to play around with this OS (no it won't work on your Bold 9000 or any other device) some can hopefully put it to good use. If you are a lucky Bold 9900 owner be sure to drop a comment here and let us know how it is for you, then toss the device in a box and email me for my address :-) Thanks again!
*OS Disclaimer - Please Read: Keep in mind this is NOT an official release and as such is not supported by RIM or your Carrier. If you choose to install, do so at your own risk and only if you're comfortable in the process of upgrading and downgrading your device software. It is quite normal during operating system development for certain features to be crippled or disabled while others are tested, and these beta builds often reflect that. They are not always better. Depending on your BlackBerry comfort level, it may be best for you to wait for community feedback on a build before deciding to download and install for yourself or simply wait for the next official release. If you require support, you will find it in our CrackBerry forums via our extremely knowledgeable community base - do not contact your carrier or RIM for Beta OS technical support (their first course of action will be to advise you to downgrade to a supported OS). *

BlackBerry Bold 9900
The BlackBerry Bold 9900 is the first BlackBerry to run on a processor faster than 1 GHz, use a near-field communications antenna, enable mobile hotspot, and raised the bar for BlackBerry display resolution. Most importantly of all, the Bold 9900 was the flagship for the BlackBerry 7 operating system launch, which proliferated through new devices through the rest of the year. Though the...

I switched from BlackBerry 10 to BlackBerry 7 and survived!
As I'm sure most of you already know, last weekend Kevin, James and I headed to Montreal to check out the Canadian Grand Prix — and we had an amazing time. I drove up from New Jersey with a friend of mine, but it wasn't until the day before that it dawned on me that I wouldn't have any phone service once hitting the Canadian border. Since I rarely leave the country I don't carry an...
The BlackBerry Bold 9900 makes a return to ShopBlackBerry in North America
Here's an odd one - The good old BlackBerry Bold 9900 has appeared once again in ShopBlackBerry. Currently the device is available for pre-order only, with shipments expected to be despatched around June 18th. Don't get me wrong - the 9900 was an awesome powerhouse for those of us that wanted the best communication device on the market, but that was a few years back. Where I find...

I hope the BlackBerry Classic's trackpad lights up and powers down like it does on the Bold 9900
Or more specifically, I hope like the BlackBerry Bold 9900, there is a ring or design element around the BlackBerry Classic's trackpad that lights up for notifications, and is last to turn off when the screen / keyboard backlighting powers down. I had this realization when I was out for dinner with my cousin Vinny on the weekend. He was on his Bold 9900 all night, and the room was...
