Without a doubt, the worst part about conference calls is dialing in. Without an app, you've got to stumble your way through both an overlong phone number and an arcane, cumbersome conference ID. Even with an app, you're probably looking at fiddling with authentication.
I know I've lost count of the number of times I've thrown my hands up in frustration over the whole mess. That's why I'm such a big fan of BlackBerry Hub+ Calendar. It includes this cool feature that lets you join a digital meeting or conference with a single tap.
You can do this in one of two ways. In both cases, once an event has been added to your calendar, you can tap on it and configure how and when it will send you reminder notifications. I'd recommend setting it to send a reminder ten minutes before the event, and at event start.
Joining A Meeting Through An Event Reminder
- When you receive a reminder notification, "Join Now" will be one of the options. Tap it, and BlackBerry Hub+ Calendar will take care of the rest.
- If you miss the notification, you can also tap and drag at the top of your screen to view it.
Joining A Meeting Through A BlackBerry Hub+ Calendar Event Page
- Open the event page through your Hub+ Calendar app. There should be a "Join Now" button.
- Tap it, and you're good to go!
Be sure to have the latest BlackBerry Hub+ Calendar app update from the Google Play Store.
