Aside from the typical PIN, pattern, or password options, the BlackBerry KEYone also offers a fingerprint scanner built right into the keyboard. Setting up the fingerprint scanner is a quick and easy process, this guide will show you how!

How to set up the fingerprint scanner on the BlackBerry KEYone

Keep in mind, when you set up the fingerprint scanner, you must also create a PIN, pattern, or password for times when your fingerprint can't be used.

Swipe down from the top of the screen to reveal the notification shade.
Tap the Settings icon in the upper right corner.
Scroll and find Security.

Select Fingerprint.
Select Add Fingerprint.
Scan in the finger of your choice until it indicates it has been registered.

With the way the system works, you can add more than one fingerprint. For example, your right hand and your left hand. Just continue to tap the Add Fingerprint button to repeat the process of finger registration.

Reminder: You can't use your fingerprint to unlock your BlackBerry KEYone when it restarts. You must enter your PIN, pattern, or password on a restart, so be sure to remember it!
