For BlackBerry 10 users in India, another banking application has arrived in BlackBerry World. This time it's from HDFC and as you would expect it'll allow customers to manage their finances all from the palm of their hand.
As you will note from this list below, the app brings all the basic banking functions to BlackBerry. Since BlackBerry 10 was first launched we've seen a fair few banking apps become available. Bearing in mind that most BB10 users find productivity apps far more desirable than games I'm surprised more banks haven't brought their apps to the platform - especially as BlackBerry are very much targeting business users now.
As the app is regional I'm not able to test it myself, so if you are in India and are a HDFC customer hit up the comments with your impressions.
Features include:
- Pay utility bills, credit card bills, etc.
- View Account summaries and Fixed Deposit summaries
- Transfer funds ,including transfers to other bank customers
- Request statements, cheque book, stop payment
The HDFC app is only available for all touch BlackBerry 10 devices at the time of publication and is free to download. Fingers crossed that hardware keyboard device support will follow shortly.
