A nice new foursquare for BlackBerry 10 update has started rolling out through BlackBerry World for all you check-in fanatics out there. This release sees foursquare for BlackBerry 10 get bumped into v10.1.4 and adds a fair amount of additions to the app overall.
If you're like me and often times use foursquare not to check-in but rather to pull up addresses, directions, store hours and more the updates to the Explore section alone make the update worthwhile. Foursquare thankfully, included a full change log with this release so here is everything that is new:
With new filters in Explore, you can do super-specific searches to suit your every need. Looking for a cheap, friend-approved brunch spot that you haven't tried yet? Or maybe you want to sort your lunch recommendations by distance. Tap the search bar at the top of the screen, then filter by options like "price," "specials," "distance," "haven't been," or "open now" to find the perfect spot.
- Hub integration (for 10.1.0.1627 and up)
- New events page
- Improved push notification reliability
- Fixed some bugs around linking to Twitter and Facebook
- Other bug fixes and speed improvements
The update is appearing in BlackBerry World right now but keep in mind it could still filtering through in some areas. If you're not seeing it as if yet, go ahead and check for updates or simply just hang tight for a while and it will appear shortly.
