Digby Review

While I was at WES, I spent some time talking to the good guys from 30 Second Software, makers of Digby. If you haven’t heard of it, Digby is an application that lets you order stuff from your BlackBerry. They have partnered with various companies, such as FTD.com, Godiva Chocolatier, and Vermont Teddy Bear to bring a convenient streamlined ordering process managed entirely from your BlackBerry.

To download Digby, point your device browser to www.digby.com/download. Once installed, you can create an account, browse their catalog, and begin ordering all kinds of goodies right from your BlackBerry. Their philosophy is that ordering things from your BlackBerry should be quick and painless. It should take less than 30 seconds, hence the name of their company.

Browsing through the catalog, I see all kinds of good stuff. Flowers, chocolate, toys…all in one convenient catalog that you can browse while commuting home, or sitting in a boring meeting. There’s a nice reminder feature, where you can enter in occasions that you need to remember, like your wife’s birthday, as well as public holidays like Mother’s Day (you did remember it right?).

Digby is a free service; there are no extra fees on top of your regular order price. It’s easy to use and a very convenient way to manage all your gift giving occasions. Check it out.
