Contest Winners: DriveSafe.ly, Pay It Forward, [Pre]defined, Rain, Revball, Wifi Hero and BeDroid

Another week in the books, and I'm glad to say my favorite season is upon us. December is here, and the holidays are in full swing. We have tons of goodies on the way to help celebrate, so don't stray too far from your desk to go shopping or you'll miss out. We capped the week with some great contests, topped by our Pay It Forward. The unlocked Bold will go to Megan Johns who was nominated by member wasteofflesh (check out the winning entry after the jump). All in all another great week for contests. Pay It Forward Contest winning entry:

I would like to nominate a friend...Megan Johns. Megan is a great friend, an absolutely amazing Mom and an overall amazing person!

This past summer, her beautiful two year old daughter was diagnosed with Leukemia. At the time, Megan was also pregnant with her second child. Sadly, a time that should have been filled with such joy and excitement, was replaced with extreme stress, sadness and fear.

Since her daughter being diagnosed, Megan (a nurse) and her husband (a police offer) have spent countless days and nights at Toronto Sick Kids Hospital while her daughter is undergoing treatment. Of course, their newborn is also in attendance which can get especially difficult when a "routine" day of chemo treatments turns into an unexpected overnight stay :(

Last month, Megan managed to make it out for our Moms night out! She was one of the few in attendance without a blackberry. Sure, she has and will continue to get by without a blackberry. However, since getting my own, I now realize how much easier it would make her life.

A blackberry would allow Megan access to the outside world when stuck in the hospital. Not only would she have access to the internet and her emails, but she would also be able to have contact to her friends and family (her support system), without running up her phone bill (thanks to blackberry messenger).

Megan has been to hell and back during the past six months and I would LOVE to be able to do something nice for HER this holiday season!! When she was asked what we could do to help during all of this, her only response was "we need pennies to throw in the fountain during our hospital walks".

I think her statement speaks volumes as to exactly what type of person Megan Johns really is...one of a kind! Somehow she has managed to stay strong and selfless through this entire journey. She fights this battle and never complains...even when her heart is broken watching her little angle fight the battle of a lifetime!

These are just some of the reasons that I believe that Megan Johns is so deserving of an extra special holiday surprise :D
