First up this week is a theme that is not only functional but wonderful to look at. It features a unique icon set, beautiful Parisian backgrounds, a custom top banner that remains even if you change wallpapers, and a skinned BBM screen. I happen to like the tiny Eiffel Tower icon present in the popup menus and dialog boxes. For OS 5 and 6 devices it offers an animated icon on the homescreen that falls down from the top. This week I couldn’t help but include another charming, fully customized theme. Tiffany LaHope delivers a beauty filled with delightful pastel colors, cute backgrounds, redesigned top banner, cute icon set, and wallpaper which features a little girl with her bag of popcorn waiting for the film to start. Being that it is skinned from top to bottom, icons in folders will be hidden, but users may access them in universal search or by moving them to the homescreen. Browsing through BlackBerry World I happened to land upon this elegant design. What caught my attention was not the colorful icon set or the custom fonts but the inventive homescreen icon arrangement and how it blends with the dark background. There is also the inventive way the custom battery and signal meters, clock, date/time, and the network icons are perfectly placed on the right hand side as well. This well-balanced theme can be purchased for $0.99. Our final spot this week goes to a theme that is geared towards those who adore the color pink.
