A quieter week this week on the software front. Suppose we're still feeling a bit of the fallout and are coming down from the high of CTIA. All the same, there is still lots to talk about. Here's a brief overview of this weeks' roundup:

e-Mobile Phone Alert

A new addition to the ShopCrackBerry.com Software Store, e-Mobile Phone Alert makes sure you never miss important phone calls you WANT to receive. You can set notifications by trackball/LED color, by buzzer or ringtones. You can setup custom alerts based on individual phone numbers, or even create custom rules based on area code and phone extensions. This is compatible with the Pearl, 8800, and 8300 series on OS 4.2 and up. It should be noted that the buzzer and ringtone alerts only work on the 8130 and 8120 and the changing trackball color only works with the 8100 (it's on the only trackball-equipped Berry to sport multiple LEDS within the ball).

LaunchPad is a handy program that allows you to launch more than one application from the side-key. With it you can launch your contacts, tasks, notes, camera or calendar. Texas Hold'em King 3

Attention poker fans! The latest installment of the Texas Hold'em King series is here. bPlay has just released Texas Hold'em King 3, and it looks like a good one. This version includes improved graphics, networked multi-player tournaments... and a community of over 100,000 avid players. There's also a new 'Turbo Mode' that fast-forwards you to the end of a hand once you've folded. That's a cool time-saver.
