BlackBerry Radar is currently being showcased at CES 2019 and while there, BlackBerry has announced that the smart monitoring solution has been awarded "Vehicle Telematics Solution of the Year" from IoT Breakthrough. Highlighting the win for BlackBerry, James Johnson, Managing Director at IoT Breakthrough noted:
"The transportation industry is one of the early adopters within the larger IoT market, with trucking, fleet and other transportation organizations collecting a variety of critical data to guide smarter operational decisions and ultimately, saving time, money and resources. The BlackBerry Radar solution is driving continued innovation of advanced telematics and IoT applications for the industry, and we are thrilled to recognize BlackBerry for its well-deserved industry recognition with this 2019 IoT Breakthrough Award designation."
This win for BlackBerry follows the recognition they received from American Trucking Associations as an ATA Business Solutions Featured Product and a great 2018 that saw 2,800+ heavy-duty truck dealerships across North America start offering BlackBerry Radar. As more transportation carriers look to IoT to improve their offerings, it seems BlackBerry's Radar service is off to a great start in 2019. You can read the full announcement from BlackBerry here.
