With pre-orders live, the BlackBerry Priv is closer than ever to getting into anxious buyers' hands. To further prepare for the impending full launch, BlackBerry has published several of the stock apps that will come with the smartphone on Google Play. In all, there are 6 apps to look out for, including:
- BlackBerry Launcher
- BlackBerry Keyboard
- BlackBerry Services
- Password Keeper
- BlackBerry Camera
- DTEK by BlackBerry
Keep in mind that none of these are actually installable yet, as the Priv isn't yet available. However, with the apps broken out instead of being completely embedded at the system level, BlackBerry will be free to issue updates when necessary rather than waiting for device updates. Also, this is a potential win for other Android devices as well, as we may eventually see the BlackBerry Launcher or Keyboard available for other smartphones. But only time will tell on that front.
