BlackBerry Power Center, the often overlooked app that allows you to optimize your device and apps power usage, has a fresh new update rolling out that brings enhancements and stability fixes. As highlighted in the changelog, you can now manage apps that are running in the background. Plus, notifications for those background apps that are using battery power are now enabled making them easier to pinpoint.
What's New
- Manage applications that are running in the background
- Receive notifications for apps that are using battery power while running in the background
- Minor enhancements and stability fixes
If you've never given BlackBerry Power Center a go, maybe now is a good time to check it out. With the advanced settings enabled, you can control brightness, resolution and even the app frame rate on an app-by-app basis. It's a pretty powerful way to further extend the battery life on your device, especially if you're one who likes to tinker around with the settings. Ah, right, should be noted the app does require Android 7.1 and up.
