BlackBerry Keyboard app update improves SlideBoard and language options

A fresh new update for the BlackBerry Keyboard app has now landed in the Google Play Store. This time around, the changelog is short but aside from the usual enhancements and stability fixes, there are also some updates to how SlideBoard works with Type by Swiping and additional improvements for those who type in Chinese (Pinyin) or Japanese.

What's New

  • Use the SlideBoard feature when Type by Swiping is turned on
  • Flick up on the keyboard to use a suggested word when using the keyboard in Chinese (Pinyin) or Japanese
  • Minor enhancements and stability fixes

Since I don't type in Chinese or Japanese, I can't say how well that works, but it's great to see those features being added, making the app more accessible to everyone. The update is live right now, so be sure to get it downloaded if you haven't already. Let us know if spot anything else fixed in this release, enhancements and stability fixes could cover a lot.

Sidenote: You might also see updates for DTEK and Notable but the changelogs are not uh, really notable. It just covers enhancements and bug fixes.
