BlackBerry Assistant has now officially launched with the release of the BlackBerry Passport, and now we have more details about how it works. BlackBerry demonstrated Assistant on stage today at the official reveal event for the BlackBerry Passport, stressing the importance of multiple interaction methods and context.
BlackBerry Assistant can understand your commands or questions from either text or voice input. It also picks up on how to respond to you based on how you place your requests or commands, speaking back to you if you speak to it, or replying only with text if you type. It can also recognize if its connected to a car by Bluetooth and automatically reply verbally.
BlackBerry says that Assistant can handle both work and personal email, contacts, and calendars without compromising security. The aim is to let you stay organized no matter where you are or what you're doing using only one device. While focused on productivity BlackBerry Assistant can also check the weather, find restaurants, and more.
Be sure to check out our hands-on with BlackBerry Assistant to see it in action. Are you looking forward to using BlackBerry Assistant? Sound off in the comments.
