In Case You Missed It...

Just in case you missed these titles, below are some apps that were covered in the CrackBerry Blogs this past week. Check 'em out!

Yahoo! Fantasy Football '09

Yahoo! Fantasy Football '09

NFL football season is upon us, and if you happen to be involved in a Yahoo! leadue, the new Yahoo! Fantasy Football '09 app for BlackBerry can really do you a solid. The app allows you to manage your roster, add or drop players, check stats, scores, and more. It's the ultimate on-the-go tool for managing your fantasy football team for the '09 season.

You can grab Yahoo! Fantasy Football '09 from BlackBerry App World.

Slacker Radio Updated

Slacker Radio Updated

Slacker Radio has been updated to version 2.0.49. As somewhat expected, no change log is available, but if you're already running the app... I'd suggest you pick it up. I'd fully expect the usual bevy of bug fixes and tweaks have been included, and it's always a good thing to stay with the latest version.

You can download Slacker 2.0.49 OTA via

Google Mobile App Updated

Google Mobile App Updated
You may have heard of this some time ago, but I have to mention it... For no other reason than for the Tour users out there! The latest update to the Google Mobile App has been reported to enable the voice lookup function on the Tour.

If you're on a Tour and want to check it out for yourself, you can visit from your Berry's web browser to download.

Lucky7Slots for the Storm, Tour and Curve 8900

Not too much explanation needed here. Lucky7Slots is a slot machine game available now for the Storm, Tour and Curve 8900. The graphics and sounds are pretty good, and some nice gameplay controls are built-in to the Storm version. Perhaps the biggest plus to this slot machine game is the fact that you can save your credits/status when you quit the game... This is great, as it allows you to pick up where you left off last time.

SmrtGuard Updated to 1.98

Existing users of SmrtGuard will be pleased to know what version 1.98 is now ripe for the picking. Rumblings about version 2.01 have already been heard, and it sounds like some pretty cool features are coming... Such as selective photo backup, 'follow me' service upgrades and more... But here are the key feature updates for 1.98:

  • More Robust Remote Wiping that wipes out Password Word Keeper, Facebook, Phone Application
  • Backup and Restore secured by Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) encryption
  • Easy and secured activation verification process with secure key exchange mechanism via HTTPS. They have a quick setup guide here
  • Added support for User1, User2, User4, User4, Birthday, Anniversary fields in Contact backup and restore.

New This Week

ShowEventLog is a simple little app that arrived in our store earlier this week. Pop it open and it'll show you an event log to let you know what's going on with your Berry. It's simple to install, no crazy key combos need to be punched in, and it works just fine on the Storm as well.

Ever needed to take a screenshot on your Berry? A new screenshot taking app has popped up, with a perfect name. 'Screenshot' does exactly what you think it does... it takes a screenshot of your device and stores it on your device memory or SD card. You can also assign a convenience key to the app, to allow for easy screenshots whenever you need 'em.

BAC FinderBAC Finder

Here's an interesting app. Blood Alcohol Content Finder lets you calculate your current blood alcohol content by entering a few bits of information. Enter your gender, weight, how long you've been drinking and what you've been drinking... BAC does all the calculating and delivers the results.

Tip FinderTip Finder

In yet another tip calculator app, Tip Finder delivers quite a bit of functionality. Use it to calculate your next tip based on percentage, before or after tax... or use it to split the bill evenly amongst your group. You can even pre-load the app with your own default settings to allow for quick and easy tip calculation each time you pop open the app.
