Howdy CrackBerry nation! Hope you all had an excellent week as it certainly went by quickly. Now on to the more important topic of the day. It is time to bring you this week's picks for all your passionate BlackBerry addicts out there. You can find each app and game I've rustled up for you by clicking through the gallery below. Super Drop Jam by Brigand

This week in the Amazon Appstore I came across this unusual game. The premise is quite simple. There is a row of five numbers at the bottom whose numbers match that of a deck of cards and numbered tiles that fall from the top of the screen. Your job is to drag the tiles below and match with the ones as they fall. However, you can only stack them if the value is one higher or lower than the one falling before time runs out. For example, if a five is falling you could only match it with a four or a six. The more tiles are stacked together, the higher your score. If you need to clear the board quickly, tapping on the stack will make them reach the bottom and disappear. As a thinking game it keeps you on your toes especially when the pace picks up. Super Drop Jam is available for $1.00.

File Converter saper-ek

This is a quick and simple file converter for when on the go. There are several uses for an application such as this. Have a word file that you cannot open in Docs to Go? No problem this application can convert to PDF so you can open with Adobe. I know for me there are times I would like to send a PDF of a file rather than the word version. All you would have to do is use is launch File Converter and it will do the rest in a matter of moments. Simply tap on the on the file type you wish to convert to and then go through your files to select the source document. It supports PDF, DOC, ODP, ODS, ODT, PPT, RTF, TXT, and XLS. You can grab it for $0.99 in BlackBerry World.

MoPix by 10Soft

Growing up, the most powerful images to be seen, in my opinion, were the ones in black and white. Not only are they awe inspiring but are elegant and capture some of the finer details we might not notice in color. MoPix a small and simple application that allows you to take any shot in black and white (from within the application itself), apply some filters, and share them directly on your Facebook wall. Users can also take an existing photo from the library and apply the black and white filter as well. The free version does include a watermark though this can be removed with an in app purchase of $1.99. Another feature not available in the free version is the ability to save the new image to your device. Once you upgrade to the premium version this option will appear on the screen and can be accessed by tapping the green check mark in the upper right.

Screaming Energy by Screaming Power

With the harsh winter that swept across the Northeast, the items I kept my eye on most were my gas and electric bill. It offers an easy to read dashboard with which you can view all your electric, natural gas, and water bills including usage, tax, and rates, import and export your data, option to enter your information manually, and automatic downloading from your utility company (if available) to receive regular billing updates and quick access. This Built for BlackBerry application is free to download and the charts for tracking your bills and usage over time is certainly helpful when calculating your budget.
