Happy New Year, CrackBerry nation! Another week has passed so you know what that means? Not only is it time to share with you another batch of applications for your BlackBerry 10 or Priv device! Looking back at 2015, it was indeed a fascinating year in mobile technology. And it marked the release of the BlackBerry Priv, BlackBerry's first Android-powered device and its subsequent arrivals in various international countries.

If you want to review all the interesting news that hit the blogs last year, be sure to check out Mobile Nations Yearly: A quick look back at 2015. It may only be the beginning of January, but I am already looking forward to what 2016 has in store for us.

Now it's time to bring you this week's picks for all you passionate BlackBerry addicts out there. You can find each app and game I've rustled up for you by clicking through the gallery below. If your favorite didn't make the cut this week, remember you can help by offering your suggestions at the end. See you next year!

Borderline! by AgeTDev

Borderline

Going through the games section of BlackBerry World, I came upon this intriguing game from the developer behind FlyFly Up!. The object of this endless scrolling game is to guide your orb from one border of your screen to the other all while avoiding the obstacles in your path. In order to move your piece, you simply have to tap the screen at the appropriate time. I say that because this game is not as easy as it sounds. You need to have perfect timing and quick reflexes to ensure your orb doesn't crash into one of the walls.

Borderline! has an appealing visual style as well as a decent soundtrack. However, it can be quite frustrating at times. Apparently my reflexes aren't that quick, as I only last a few seconds before failing miserably. Even with my flailing fingers, this native game certainly has me hooked. You can find this native game in BlackBerry World for $0.99. How long can you last?

ZEDGE Ringtones and Wallpapers by Zedge

ZEDGE

I admit personalizing my device has always been an obsession. First it was themes on BBOS, then it was wallpapers on BB10, now it is customizing my Priv with launchers and other applications. Browsing through the Google Play store, ZEDGE popped up and caught my eye. This particular selection offers free wallpapers, ringtones, app icons, and notification sounds to customize your BlackBerry Priv.

Basically, it is your one-stop shop for changing certain aspects of your home screen and notifications. Its offers a variety of categories, the ability to set backgrounds, ringtones, and notifications sounds directly from within the application, widgets for quickly setting your wallpaper, option to create personal collections and favorites, and several icon packs which you can download and use to personalize your home screen.

Zedge comes with a slick interface which allows users to quickly navigate through the categories to find exactly what they are looking for. You can download this for free in Google Play with ads.

Tap Tap Dash by Second Arm

Tap Tap Dash

For those wondering, Tap Tap Dash does not involve Morse code. What this arcade game does entail is 400 levels that are infuriating, addictive, and fun at the same time (and yes this is possible). The goal is supposed to be easy: you are supposed to navigate your character through the game by tapping on the screen to jump or change direction, trying to stay on the on-screen path. Sounds simple, right? On the contrary, Tap Tap Dash only gets faster as you progress and there are times the board will suddenly shift direction. This change in perspective causes you to tap at the wrong time, which means game over.

Tap Tap Dash is free to download and is ad-supported. An in-app purchase of $1.99 quickly solves this by removing the ads, but it's totally optional.
