Howdy and welcome to the weekly app roundup! I read Kevin’s email to Rovio, in which he was wondering/pleading/praying Angry Birds would eventually see the light of a backlit BlackBerry screen. Remember Kevin, that it is all fun and games. Angry birds in real life are far from fun. They tend to get pretty good at aiming their little “bombs”.
Today, we announce the winners of the PhotoClub giveaway and also give you the chance to win one of 25 copies of InfoBox! Have a rootin’ tootin’ weekend! Giddy up!

Freebies Of The Week:
uTrack Lite - This novel way of managing your daily tasks is one of the easiest and most effective ways to streamline your life. This application allows you to visualize your daily tasks letting you know where you stand with just a glance. You can track your work tasks, school assignments, family obligations, etc.
The concept is simple. You have a virtual ‘wall’ where you can put up sticky notes with your to do's. Once you decide to start the task, simply drag the sticky note from the ‘to do’ column to ‘in progress’. Move the task to the 'verify' column should you feel the need to revisit it after completion. Once the task is finally completed drag it to the ‘done’ column.
At any point in time, you could delete tasks or clean your wall completely.
Share A Photo - Share A Photo allows you to upload a photo which another user of this application can see. Make a picture with your phone, upload it and others can watch the image. You can upload an image by starting the application, or by using the menu item which will show up when you use the file explorer to browse through pictures.
Just share a photo!
- Upload a photo
- View photos others uploaded
- Save an image to your memory
- In case a photo is not ok, you can let us know by using the menu item when you view a photo
- Upload a photo by using the menu item which will show up when you use the file explorer to browse through pictures
Pro Football Draft Insider - Don’t trust the talking heads you see on TV! Since 1967 NFL execs have used Pro Football Weekly's expert analysis of the NFL Draft in their war rooms. This app gives you comprehensive access to this same content including a draft tracker, insider rumors, player rankings, mock drafts, combine news, team needs, video, round-by-round analysis and more! Detailed player scouting reports are available in the deluxe application only.
In Case You Missed It:
Photo Translator - Just take a picture of text in any language using your BlackBerry camera and Photo Translator will instantly capture the text and translate it.
It's incredibly useful in situations when quick translation is needed: in airports, train or bus stations, restaurants and many other places. For example, with Photo Translator, there's no need to remember the meanings of all those "pithiviers" or "madeleines"; just take a picture of the menu and find out exactly what it is that you're thinking of ordering.
Reliable OCR (optical character recognition) technology allows you to grab the text from images in a few seconds. Translated text can be saved to Memo, sent by email, or used in other apps. Save results for later reference and quickly search through them.
Photo Translator supports English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Czech, Dutch, Greek, Chinese Traditional, Chinese Simplified, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Arabic, Croatian, Hebrew, and many other languages.

The automatic trip scanning feature will automatically recognize itineraries that are emailed to you and push them to your BlackBerry – no matter where you booked. It can even identify gaps – like a hotel stay that ends a night earlier than it should – and make recommendations which you can book right from your BlackBerry. If your flight’s delayed or your connection changes, BlackBerry Travel will automatically push notification alerts to your device to keep you informed.
With clever tools like a currency converter, weather forecast for your destination, local search to find what you need while on the road and the BlackBerry Travel Web Portal, you’ll be well-prepared, even for multi-leg journeys. Sharing your upcoming travel plans is easy too – the app helps you do it quickly by email or over LinkedIn. Save time and effort with BlackBerry Travel, wherever life takes you.
