While it tends to be Verizon and Sprint that get all of the CDMA-BlackBerry attention in the United States, it's good to see Alltel announce this morning that the 8330 will soon be joining their BlackBerry smartphone offering. From Alltel,
“Customers have asked for a phone that provides functionality and helps them maintain their efficiency and connectivity whether on the road or at home,” said Brian Ullem, vice president of device strategy at Alltel Wireless. “The BlackBerry Curve 8330 fits these needs and gives both our professional and personal customers a broad multi-media experience that complements their active lives.”
The 8330 Curve will be available for purchase in retail stores come May 1st and is already available for pre-order today online at shopalltel.com/curve. Alltel will be offering the 8330 for $229.99 after a $100.00 mail in rebate. The discounted price is available to new customers who sign up for a two-year service agreement and to existing eligible customers on qualifying rate plans. Are there any Alltel users in the house?!
