Bitstrips seems to be all the rage lately. If you haven't heard of it before, it's a Facebook-connected app that lets you turn yourself and your friends into cheeky cartoons that you can share with the world. There's no official BlackBerry 10 Bitstrips app for now, but you do have the option to sideload it if you want to get in on all of the comicy fun as well.

For this one keep in mind that it is a bit moody and may cause you more hassle than it's worth, but regardless, you can install Bitstips on your BlackBerry 10 device if you're feeling left out.

  1. You'll need the unlocked runtime for this one (or possible the debug method) to get it working. You can find the info in the forums here. After you sideload the unlocked runtime be sure to reboot your device.
  2. Grab the Bitstrips APK here and sideload it to you device.
  3. We've found that you'll need to have an active network connection to even get the app started, so that means an active SIM will need to be installed - not just Wi-Fi.
  4. Once you open the app, connect to Facebook using your login details. From here everything is self-explanatory.

Again - this once is fairly buggy so you may have issues with crashes, dropped connections or long load times, but we've found that it does work enough to make a strip (to some extent at least) if you are determined enough to do it.

If you need more help or want to share your strips, hit up the CrackBerry forums for more.
