Since the closure of consumer BBM, BBMe has not had many updates, but now having passed 1M downloads, a new update, packed with bug fixes and improvements has arrived for Android and will be coming soon to iOS.
- Create open group chats that others can join using a URL or QR code
- Set a profile picture for group chats
- Jump to the first new message in a chat
- System-level dark mode integration
- Visual update to group chat and user profile screens update
- Ability to zoom into desktop screen share
- New file format used to capture voice note recordings
- Improvements made to video file transfer quality
- Improved handling of incoming mobile calls during a BBM Enterprise call
Don't forget, in addition to the Android and iOS clients, the desktop versions for Windows and Mac also have updates available, so you'll want to be sure to get those downloaded and installed.
