BBm Thank You

You may recall that earlier in December (2013) we told you that the UK BlackBerry BBM team were very generously giving away a bunch of cash to several charities as a seasonal gesture of good will. Participants were invited to send in an image of themselves that represents them and BBM at Christmas and along with the photo users could vote to which of the charities the most money should go to.

The pot for this one was pretty large - with a guaranteed £10,000 going to each of the following charities:

  • Age UK: Thousands of older people are dreading this Christmas. Age UK needs your help to make sure that older people don't face this winter alone.
  • Crisis: Crisis is the national charity for single homeless people and dedicated to ending homelessness by delivering life changing services and campaigning for change.
  • Prince’s Trust: The Prince’s Trust helps the UK’s most disadvantaged young people turn their lives around. With your support, we can transform vulnerable young lives.
  • Free The Children: Free The Children is an international charity and educational partner that believes in a world where all young people are free to achieve their full potential.

With Boxing Day now upon us it seems that the event is over and if you did take part you can check out the big Thank You wall on the BBM for Christmas website to see if your photo is there.

Respect to BlackBerry for there donations. Even when the company is not in the best financial position they have still chosen to help out those who are less fortunate than us - that's what Christmas should be about. Nice work BlackBerry UK.

Check out if you are on the BBM montage
