For those of you out there using BBM on either BlackBerry 10 or Android, you'll want to fire up the respective app stores and get the latest updates downloaded. New builds for both BlackBerry 10 and Android have now arrived and are available. What's new you ask? Well, we really don't know because the changelog this time around was simply left at 'bug fixes and performance improvements'. Still that's enough reason to give them a go. If you happen to spot anything specifically new in either release, shout out in the comments and let us know. If you're an iOS user, no update for you as of yet.

I'm still on 10.9.6.19. Does anyone know if installing this update still screws up 2 person groups? I don't want to lose me group and that's why I've held off.
I got it for both. It should be noted as well with the new update for lollipop bbm can now be downloaded from android tablets as before it would say not available for your device.

Updated and am getting the featured channels under Discover. Cant figure out what else is new though.
UPDATE: Shutting BBM and restarting it has caused the featured channels to go blank. The Discover tab is there but shows nothing.
Update.. after resetting the phone.. channels are showing up again.. back to normal

Each time I restart my Q10, which is on official OS 10.3.1, the channel of BBM always asks me the birth date to get in. Why?
Really each time...it is really annoying!

Still haven't upgraded since they removed the free retract... :-)

I was with ya until my wife wanted to borrow my passport to try it out to see if she liked it. Once I restored my backup back on my PP it forced the update. Argh. Although I have never really needed more than 3 retractions in a month before.

Phone will still vibrate on ping if in bedside mode. Was hoping this update fixed it. Ill report it to the BBM folks.
Btw, quite a few apps recently are shown in BB World as ready for update but their new version is the same as the old one and even if I try to update them they fail. Wtf? Anyone else noticed this?

BlackBerry should improve on overall BBM picture quality. Each update has seen a decline in this regard. This is where WhatsApp outclasses BBM.
Can you request HQ version on WA?

I make reference to an improvement in the display pictures. BBM tends to reduce display picture quality quite visibly. Whereas WhatsApp retains same. Do the comparison and see.

Just go to blackberry world app on your blackberry and find Bbm and select update.

I find bbm to be quicker, however some of the characters are still showing up in the middle of words already typed in the message when I try to add them.

Yes, new stickers are available. But the stickers I bought on iOS (with the iTunes Gift Card) are not seen in my BlackBerry BBM. Also not from the restore option, unfortunately! Maybe a bug which should been solved in an update, in the future.

I thought stickers were stuck in their respective ecosystems. If you bought BBM stickers on a BlackBerry they were tied to your BlackBerry World account. BBM on Android, stickers tied to your Google Play account.

All is fine except after completing download I continue to get notices that some site or other, unnamed that I use requires confirmation of my email address yet no message shows up through which I am supposed to click on to confirm.

Is it just me or does BBM keep getting heavier with every update; 60MB. Have the guys thought of optimizing the app a little bit.

Yes, I am on 10.3.2.2226. Updated my BBM when I saw this post. To me it's no big deal, because, I still have access to the ones I really care about. But, for others it may not be as cool (ok).

I'm seeing the Discover tab, although it's so lame and they don't update it in forever. This tab should be updated each time it's accessed.
I haven't upcoming BBM yet. However, I find nothing shows on Discover part.
Maybe they've turned down the feature.
