BlackBerry signs its first BlackBerry Secure devices licensing deal with NTD

In addition to reporting their Q2 Fiscal 2018 earnings, BlackBerry has also now announced they have signed their first BlackBerry Secure licensing deal with Yangzhou New Telecom Science and Technology Company Ltd. As part of the deal, NTD will develop devices that will be branded by OEMs, carriers and local smartphone brands and marketed as "BlackBerry Secure" due to the use of BlackBerry's security software.

BlackBerry reports record software and services revenue for Q2 Fiscal 2018

BlackBerry has now announced their Q2 fiscal 2018 results. Non-GAAP revenue for the second quarter of fiscal 2018 was $249 million with GAAP revenue of $238 million with software and services reaching revenue of $196 million (non-GAAP) and $185 million (GAAP). With several announcements coming after the quarter, BlackBerry now has a total cash balance of $2.5 billion at the end of the fiscal second quarter.

BlackBerry fans in Poland looking to pick up a BlackBerry KEYone now have the option of snagging one from Orange through their website. Although there doesn't appear to be an option to purchase the KEYone outright, pricing through Orange Poland has been set as low as 104.19 zł (approx. $28.30 USD) with a 30-month contract.

BlackBerry renews partnership with the American Red Cross to donate AtHoc crisis communication solution

BlackBerry has now announced they have renewed their partnership with the American Red Cross to donate AtHoc Alerting System services to the Red Cross in the United States. As part of the partnership, the Red Cross will have access to BlackBerry AtHoc solutions across its network of nearly 500 U.S. chapters to help accelerate its disaster response.

QNX and Elektrobit hosting 'Addressing Safety Challenges in Full Digital Instrument Clusters' webinar

If you're looking to get your hands on a BlackBerry KEYone in Argentina, you now have two official retailers you can order from. Right now, Personal and Frávega are both taking orders for the BlackBerry KEYone. With each, pricing does vary a bit depending on the plans you choose but through Personal, the base pricing is set at $ 12,499 ($722 USD) with a free car hold while Frávega has a base price starting at $17,999 ($1,040 USD). This could be the first glimpse of the BlackBerry 'Krypton'

By now, it's no secret TCL has more BlackBerry smartphones in the works. Delphi partners with BlackBerry QNX to improve software performance and safety in autonomous cars
