Over the past year or so, BBM has gone through many changes visually and one of the most shall we say disliked changes was the addition of a new background image for chats. While some folks didn't mind the cartoony style of it, others, hated it. Luckily, BBM got the feedback loud and clear and the latest BBM update rolling out through Google Play and the App Store brings the ability to change the chat background image. The BlackBerry KEYone Black Edition has now been listed on their site for $899 AU and if you order today, the device can be shipped out to you within three days. Additionally, you also have the option of using their Click & Collect option to pick it up at a retail location, but you'll have to use the site to see if that applies in your area.

Canadians can grab a BlackBerry KEYone for only $649.99 for the next 24-hours!

If you've been holding out, waiting for a lower price on the BlackBerry KEYone to come, you're in luck!

Following the 24-hour BlackBerry KEYone flash sale in the U.S., BlackBerry Mobile has decided to go ahead an offer the same in Canada. Starting October 25 (12:01 AM ET), the BlackBerry KEYone in silver is on sale through Amazon, Blueshop and Staples for only $650 until 11:59PM ET.


New versions of BlackBerry Hub, Tasks, DTEK and more now available!

Seems like yesterday and today were update days at BlackBerry. A new batch of BlackBerry app updates have now been pushed to Google Play and have started appearing on devices. Everything from Hub, to Notes, right down to Power Center has been updated this time around. The majority of the updates simply highlight performance improvements, enhancements and bug fixes but there are a few other things that have been switched around.

BlackBerry Hub

  • Supported integration for Tumblr and QZone accounts
  • Set up a separate email signature for replies and forwards, and add links to email signatures
  • Reply to an email message using an Android Wear watch
  • Improvements for handling Gmail conversation threads (new conversations only)
  • Beta: select S/MIME message hashing algorithm with corresponding admin settings

BlackBerry Calendar

  • Add attachments to calendar events in Exchange ActiveSync 16 accounts
  • Minor enhancements and stability fixes

DTEK by BlackBerry

  • View security patch level
  • Security rating improvements

That's all the items with real changes noted, the rest just simply state bug fixes which can be pretty wide-ranging. In any case, the updates are live on Google Play right now, so fire it up and get everything downloaded. BlackBerry KEYone Black Edition now available from Staples Canada!

The BlackBerry KEYone Black Edition continues to make its rounds to retailers in Canada and now it has arrived at Staples. Pricing for the Black Edition at Staples falls in line with the majority of retailers out there with it being set at $799.99 CAD with free shipping in 3-10 business days.

You'll want to note however, Staples has let it be known the KEYone Black Edition won't be available in stores, so if you're looking to scoop one up, it'll have to be through their website. Also, the specs on the site are listed wrong but the KEYone Black Editon has 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM, Staples just goofed like every other retailer who listed it.

BlackBerry OS 10.3.3.3057 autoloader files now available!

Seems BlackBerry has had an older OS floating around their servers for BlackBerry 10 devices that someone decided should be rolled out at some point. The files needed to create OS 10.3.3.3057 autoloaders have now been posted in the forums for all.


BlackBerry Motion goes up for pre-orders at Saturn

In addition to Media Markt, retail partners Saturn have now also placed the BlackBerry Motion up for pre-order. As expected, pricing at Saturn is in line with that of Media Markt as well, meaning if you're looking to snag a BlackBerry Motion, then you can expect to lay down €469 Incl. VAT.


BlackBerry Motion now available to pre-order in Germany from Media Markt

As we learned recently amidst several availability announcements, the BlackBerry Motion is heading to Germany by way of Media Markt. Those interested in picking up Motion now have the option of placing a pre-order for the all-new full touchscreen for €469 Incl. VAT. As for when your Motion will be shipped, according to the Media Markt site, delivery will happen in 9-10 working days, so you won't have long to wait at all.

Extending their already existing security credentials, BlackBerry has now announced it is the first to support Purebred key management server cross all key platforms used by the Department of Defense such as iOS, Android, Android Enterprise, Samsung Knox, Windows 10 and BlackBerry 10.

Belsimpel now taking pre-orders for the BlackBerry Motion!

Although we had a bit of a heads up on this one thanks to their coming soon page going live, Belsimpel has now REALLY opened up their pre-orders for the BlackBerry Motion. Falling in line with the earlier noted pricing, the BlackBerry Motion when ordered through Belsimpel is set at €469.


BlackBerry Motion coming to Germany, Austria, and Switzerland!

In addition to the availability of the BlackBerry Motion in the UK, BlackBerry Mobile has also announced the Motion will be making its way to Germany, Austria, and Switzerland as well starting this month.
