AT&T has reported its earnings for the fourth quarter of 2015, noting a pretty sizable bump in consolidated revenues due to its DirecTV acquisition, along with respectable wireless subscriber growth. In all, AT&T says that it brought in consolidated revenues of $42.1 billion in Q4, which is up 22 percent from the year prior. For full-year results, AT&T said it brought in total consolidated revenues of $146.8 billion in 2015, which is up 10.8 percent from $132.4 billion in 2014.
Concerning the wireless market specifically, AT&T says that its wireless arm added 2.8 million customers, with numbers breaking down to 2.2 million in the U.S. and 638,000 in Mexico. AT&T also notes one other interesting tidbit in that AT&T Mexico, which came about after the company purchased Mexican carriers Iusacell and Nextel, accounted for nearly 8.7 million total subscribers by the end of 2015. Here are the highlights:
- 2.8 million wireless net adds; 1.6 million branded (postpaid and prepaid) net adds
- 2.2 million U.S. wireless net adds with gains in every category
- 638,000 Mexico wireless branded net adds
- Nearly 8.7 million AT&T Mexico subscribers at end of year
- 4G LTE network coverage expands to 355 million POPs
- Postpaid churn of 1.18% and total churn of 1.50%, both down year over year
