Some nice Enterprise news has come out of France today. As you'll see in the following press release, 3SI Group are making the transition from legacy BlackBerry devices, over to BlackBerry 10 and who can blame them!
In terms of device numbers they are not huge, but it's yet again more proof that BlackBerry are indeed doing things right.
Paris, France – BlackBerry Limited (NASDAQ: BBRY; TSX: BB), a global leader in mobile communications, announced today that French e-commerce and services company, 3SI Group, is deploying BlackBerry® 10 smartphones and upgrading its enterprise mobility management (EMM) platform to BlackBerry® Enterprise Service 10 (BES10).
3SI Group chose to reaffirm its trust in BlackBerry after identifying BlackBerry® 10 as the solution best suited to answering itsneeds. "BlackBerry's solution combines an excellent user experience with high-level security. We have a long-standing relationship with BlackBerry and BES10 has reinforced our confidence in BlackBerry as a trusted partner," said Christian Terryn, Systems Engineer, 3SI. 3SI Group has upgraded its two BES5 servers, migrating approximately 200 BlackBerry® Bold™ 9900 and BlackBerry® Bold™ 9700 devices to BES 10. 3SI has also provided employees with 130 BlackBerry® Z10, BlackBerry® Q10 and BlackBerry® Q5 smartphones. "We have primarily upgraded to BES 10 to enable our users to benefit from the functionalities of the BlackBerry 10 OS and the convenience of BlackBerry Balance," said Terryn.
BES10 is providing 3SI Group with comprehensive device, application and content management, while offering the flexibility for IT managers to set policies and rules that define the line between work and personal data. "Thanks to BES 10 and BlackBerry Balance technology, 3SI Group can now enable employees to automatically segregate apps and data into separate personal and professional spaces: in one they can share photos or use social networks and in the other they can perform business-related tasks. We do not develop applications internally, so having access to BlackBerry apps, such as BlackBerry Work Drives, is an added benefit," said Terryn. "BlackBerry offers the best-of-breed security, reliability and connectivity features which meet the needs of our company".
Organizations continue to choose BlackBerry because it is the most proven and trusted enterprise mobility management (EMM) solution, supporting iOS®, Android™ and BlackBerry smartphones.
