The team from Automattic went ahead and ported their Android version to the PlayBook so everyone can make use of it on the go.

As noted the features are similar to that which you would find in the WordPress for BlackBerry of course only on a larger scale designed for your PlayBook. Remember folks, you can't see the Android app player -- you need to install an app that makes use of it.
