Even though I have an iPhone now, I always had blackberry in my heart. I'm always on crackberry looking at news regarding blackberry devices and other news. I been looking at the blackberry 10 since last year and I feel like it has a lot of potential. I'm not going to lie Ive been brainwashed like a lot of other people with buying apple products; yes a device like an iPhone is a great device but it just lacks much innovation to me. I am so glad RIM caught up to speed with its competitors, it's at par with iphone and android in my opinion. The keyboard is fantastic with its ability to "learn" how you type, just that little bit of personalization is what I love most about it!! Would LOVEEEEEE to win one, pick me please!!!

Please pick me so I can replace my barely functioning, camer-no-longer-working, beat up Bold 9700. I even have to trick it just to get bluetooth to turn on! If you saw my 9700, you'd wonder how it is still functioning and holding together (without duct tape even!). Saying it is on its last leg would be an understatement. :)

I've been holding out on replacing it just for BB10, so winning would not only be an awesome thing, it would finally allow my 9700 to retire and be laid peacefully to rest, like it should have been ages ago.

How about this true story! I went to T-Mobile's site on Tuesday (Jan 29) to upgrade my phone to a Nokia Lumia 810 (Windows 8 phone). I had amazingly forgotten about the BB10 launch the next day. After typing in all my information online, I went to to hit the submit order and I was greeted with an error saying "the name on the electronic signature must match the one in our records." Sure enough, I had added my middle initial on the signature but there was no initial on the profile account with T-Mobile; so I went and removed it and the screen updated itself. I went to click the submit order button again and behold: nothing happened. I waited and waited and then decided to contact a T-Mobile rep and explain to him what had happened. After 20 minutes of trying to discover why my transaction online was in a "stalled" state, he finally told me to wait up to 48 hrs to see if the confirmation for the order would be sent to the email address on file. I checked it 5 or 6 times over the next few hours...and then it hit me... the BB10 launch was the next day!!(Jan 30th).

When I watched the launch online Wed. and saw the features and capabilities of the new Blackberry phone and its QNX software, I was overly impressed! After the launch, I must have read 10 or 12 articles about the new BB10 phones and refused to be compromised by the many critics and skeptics who think it's too late for Blackberry (formerly RIM). I gave up my Blackberry Bold 9900 phone a few years ago for an Android and hated it. I then switched to a Windows Phone and liked it much better --- but I have always missed the intangible(s) of a blackberry phone.

I am rooting for Blackberry and hope they make it - everyone deserves a second chance. Oh by the way, the upgrade order from T-Mobile never came through so I'm taking that as a sign!!!
