If I got this phone, I would give it to my sister. She has a bold from way back and is the one that introduced me to BlackBerry in the first place. She has recently started to think about switching to another forbidden fruit, but I have helped her stave off the switch. She lives hundreds of miles away and her internrship keeps her busy so I would hate to loose her as a BBM contact.

I wonder if Kevin gave this to me, and I gave it to her... What would be her reaction. She would go nuts-thats for sure, but to what extent. It would definitely be worth video recording.

i want your blackberry to b the first in trinidad. i will use it as long as i can untill my bbfreak of a wife steals it away.

My first BB was the 9700. I don't have GSM service so I used it on wifi around the house because I couldn't bring myself to sell it.
But when I had an upgrade, it convinced me to get an 8530. I used it (and it's 7 warranty replacements) for 2 years.
I've been trying to get into android, playing with a lot of those phones, but they just aren't as sleek and intuitive as the 'berrys, and I found myself keep coming back.
I'm on a second warranty replacement 9650 right now and would love the P'9981 to restore my faith in RIM's build quality.

I'm an active member of the Porsche Club of America - Silver Sage Region - in Idaho. I drive a Guards Red 2009 Porsche Cayman S - sometimes on the track. I am also a retired veteran with a 50% VA disability, 13 grandchildren and, most importantly, Kevin, I just took a look at this site today for the first time in months because I was considering jumping back onto the RIM train after I left in a Storm (if you know what I mean). As an architecture student in Scotland, I am in the minority owning my beloved BlackBerry, not to mention the only one rockin' the PlayBook.
I am in my final 2 and a half week, with my final review on Thursday the 17th. Already I'm into the 18 hour working days and know that there will be a good few days straight before I'm through. I cannot think of anything better to help me get over by last 6 years of architecture all boiling down to the next three weeks of intensive work than winning your used, but not abused, Porsche BlackBerry.

WOW! how generous of Kevin to put this gem up for grabs. I live in Waterloo and know lots people who work for Rim. I have actually crossed paths with Jim Balsille on a couple of occasions. So what does all if this chatter have to do with "the precious"? Well, all the folks I know from Rim pride themselves on having the latest BB device. So why have I not even gotten a sniff of the (Precious)P'9981? No idea. The fact is, like most who have posted, I've never even caught a glimpse of one. . So, When I am in there company with my 9700 I'm clearly not in the same league as they are In. And, they aren't shy in telling me I'm a little behind the "curve". No pun intended. So I ask you....How sweet would "turnabout" be. To suddenly find myself in their company sporting the Precious-9981? You can't even imagine. I leave you with that thought. Lastly, to be able to say it is from Mr. Crackberry himself is pure icing! The planets would truly be aligned!
