I have a curve 8330 and it hit the water on me about 8 months ago. I dried it out and it worked good up until about a month ago when it started acting weird. So a new one for me would be great :) Thanks. Oh yea and Good luck to everyone who is entering. (has all my fingers and toes crossed, carrying around my lucky rabbits foot and my four leaf clover.)

I wish RIM had done away with the physical keyboard with this model. It makes the phone bulky and heavy. Plus I really don't trust this sliding mechanisms. Whoe ever wants a physical keyboard can buy one of the other models (the 9700 for example). The 9800 could have been a screen-only phone.

I was trying to think of some creative sob story that would make you want to give this BB9800 to me just because you felt sorry for me. Like how my son grabbed my BB while he was in the bath and got electrocuted and now I need a new BB and a son. Or how my house was caught in a tornado and my weather app notified me in time to get to the basement but in gathering my children I forgot my BB and it was destroyed with the rest of my house. Or when I was on safari I was surrounded by lions so I played an mp3 on my BB of a hurt zebra and it was so realistic they ate my BB instead of me. But then I thought, it's just a phone, if I win I win if I don't then someone else more deserving than me will get it.

This an "Awesome" blackberry...probably the best they have created...I would love to win this phone...great design...filled with bells and whistles....and the design has a great feel...please pick me...

I've been stalking this phone since March or April when I first heard about the leak. I would log in to Crackberry.com every day as well as do a Google news search, just to check for updates. I eventually subscribed to an RSS news feed for blackberry slider and blackberry 9800 for updates. I've been waiting to get my hands on this phone for many, many months!! But alas, now that it's here it doesn't fit in my budget right now.

For many years, I refused to get a Crackberry, but now I love it! I was just recently deciding if I wanted to leave my blackberry behind to get a touch screen but I wasn't extremely impressed with what was out there. Then Blackberry came out with the Torch. Since I love the Blackberry keyboard, this would be perfect! But since I do not have AT&T, I have to wait for at least 6 months in hopes that my carrier will carry the phone. I would absolutely love this phone!
